San Diego #1

Now you all get to listen to my travel log! You can skip it if you want to, it's ok. The San Diego Visitor's Bureau invited us down to see the new elephant exhibit at the San Diego Zoo, and since everyone in the travel industry is hurting these days, they wanted to impress us as much as possible. They did a good job.

Our GetAway friends, Wade and Kristen, went with us. We were met by a driver and a limo:
And taken to our rooms at the Manchester Grand Hyatt, which is the nicest hotel in San Diego, by far. There was fresh fruit waiting in our rooms, and a bag of San Diego goodies- beach towels, hats, luggage tags, reusable water bottles and a San Diego Padres bobble-head:We had a corner suite on the 25th floor that overlooked Seaport Village and the bay on one side:
And the city on the other. Wow!We unpacked and walked to Seaport Village to look at the shops, then were taken to dinner at Donovan's in the Gas Lamp District, where we had one of the best meals we've ever eaten. It was a pretty nice way to spend a few hours in San Diego!
Coming tomorrow: I give my opinion about the Bodyworld Exhibit.
