We love cheese at our house. Enter: Cheese Stuffed Cheese. What could be better? Perfectly pretty party food!
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/2 tsp. hot pepper sauce
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. chopped pecans
1/4 c. dried cranberries, chopped
2 (8 oz.) pkgs. deli-style Cheddar cheese slices (3 inches square)
In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, hot pepper sauce and salt. Stir in pecans and cranberries. On a 12 inch square of aluminum foil, place 2 slices of cheese, side by side. Spread with 2-3 Tbs. cream cheese mixture. Repeat layers 6 times. Top with 2 cheese slices. Fold foil around cheese and seal tightly. Refrigerate 8 hours or overnight. Cut in half lengthwise and then width wise into 1/4 inch slices. Serve with crackers.
