A Post-Wedding Bridal Shower

Back in February, when we were on our cruise, our nephew got married to a cute girl. It was kind of last minute, but love is just like that sometimes! Yesterday we got around to giving her a shower and officially welcoming her into the family. We tied them a cute penguin picnic quilt- lots of nieces and aunts and grandmas helped out.

Look! There's Shannon, tying away- she knows her way around quilt tying! Some of her in-law genes (they sure know how to quilt!) must be rubbing off on her.
The quilt was finished, we ate lady-type food and the new bride opened presents. Welcome to the family, Dannie!

Boring photo note: Sorry about the exposure on some of these pictures. I was using my old camera, due to the fact that my new camera's battery was dead and the charger and extra battery for that new camera was out at the barn. It's a long story. Suffice it to say, my old camera will take decent pictures in Shutter priority, but I'm messing with the ISO in every shot. I'm sending it in to be fixed soon. As soon as I get around to it. I promise.

  1. I hate bridal shower games, tying a quilt is way more fun and productive. But I'm from that in-law side of Shannon. :)
    Welcome welcome!
