Super Bowl Smokies

We had fun watching the Super Bowl (commercials!) on Sunday. It was a different sort of Super Bowl day with late church and eating at our ward's Meadow's Meal at 4:00.
Brian thinks our overhead lights are too bright, so he made head protection for himself:
We had some crackers and cheese and these little wonders. So decadently delicious:
Brown Sugar Smokies
1 pound bacon
1 (16oz) package Little Smokies
1 c. brown sugar
Preheat oven to 350. Cut bacon into thirds and wrap each strip around a smokie and secure with a toothpick. Place on a rack over a foil-lined cookie sheet and sprinkle with brown sugar. Bake until bacon is crisp and the brown sugar melted- about 45 minutes.

They taste better when served on a Mickey Mouse platter. Be warned- these make a bacon-splatter-y mess in your oven. But they are so good...
