The Winner? Little Orphan Annie!

There was quite a bit of variety in the horse costumes at the benefit this year. It's always so interesting to see what people come up with and what horses will put up with. The enrties included:

Scheherazade-
A Hippie-
Cops and Robbers-
Batman-
A Rocker Chick-
And 2 Minions from Despicable Me. What a particularly lurid shade of green.
Sometimes riders base their costumes off of a play on their horse's name. Here we have Area 51:
And Kokopelli.
One rider at our barn goes all out for the costume class. She coaches ice skaters, so she has choreography and props. No one can even compete. This year she was Little Orphan Annie. She started out with "It's a Hard Knock Life",
 Then transformed into Annie:
And finished with "The Sun'll Come Out." Pretty impressive, I say.
Shannon and her riding buddy, Kaitlyn, were going to dress up as Tron riders- with painter's tape on black shirts and Frisbees on their backs, but Kaitlyn had an Ochem test in the morning. It's good to know that Kaitlyn has her priorities straight. :)
