Is He Less Smart Now?

Peter is less 4 wisdom teeth after this morning's trip to the oral surgeon. He seems to be ok in his semi-conscious state. When we were trying to chat him up after the surgery, in the moment of ulitimate truth telling, the nurse asked if he liked being the baby of the family and he said that we really didn't care what he did- he pretty much did whatever he wanted. This is true. He's always been a good, trustworthy kid. Here's hoping for a speedy recovery!

Reception Pictures

Finally, here are some of my favorite pictures from the reception- almost 3 months late, but still so cute!

Lindey's brothers make me smile, not to mention that Lindsey is so cute!:
Here's the now-legendary Rifle Pose:I LOVED how the cookie bar looked so cute with C's hand-lettered labels! In the background, you can see that Peter has stripped to his swimsuit to catch the garter:
And a few more that I really liked:

Sun Valley Gifties

We are headed up to Sun Valley on Sunday to stay in the home of one of Bruce's clients. Shannon and Ben are coming with us. To put it mildly, it is one of the nicest places I've ever stayed. I'm bringing them this gift, a picture I took when we were there over President's Day, and this cute Autumn themed thank-you card. I am SO looking forward to a little down time!

Peter's Mission Call!

Peter opened his mission call last night- he's going to the New Zealand Wellington Mission! If he could have picked a mission for himself, it probably would have been this one! He leaves on February 24th. It's an English speaking mission, so he will be in the MTC for about 3 weeks. There are 2 missions in New Zealand. The Aukland Mission is in just the top half of the top island. Peter's mission takes in the bottom half of the top island and the whole lower island. He needs to take winter clothes and 2-3 cans of mosquito repellant with 3o% DEET! His mission president is from England. We are so excited! Brian and Lindsey listened in on speaker phone:

Complete Denial

Ok, something is very wrong here. It's cold and SNOWING and it's only the first week in October. My Zinnias froze last Wednesday morning. I am in complete denial.

A Show Close To Home!

The Utah Hunter/Jumper Association has discovered a new facility for shows- the Davis County Legacy Center in Farmington. Upside: I can drive out of my garage and be at the show in 15 minutes! Unheard of! Usually I plan on a hour's drive to any horse show. Downside: the inmates at the Davis County Prison next door get work-release to maintain the facility. That's a little creepy. The weather didn't really cooperate for this show- it was 90 degrees on Tuesday and barely 50 degrees on Wednesday. All of Rocko's winter wardrobe came out of storage for this one. Shannon rode in the Adult division again and was great! They even got to do a flat class and the Callister Cup! Rocko was also Reserve Champion in the Open Division. Kari's husband, Lon, showed up with the '76 Rolls Royce that he just finished restoring. Very cool.

I'm going to try something new- importing a video. Hope it works!
