Horse shows are exhausting. They fall into the 'hurry up and wait" category and before you know it, hours have gone by. The grass show is nice because there are 30 acres of green grassy bed close by for a quick nap between the frenetic activity. Here's how Shannon's last show went:
Get on your horse. Stretch those hammies, because he is really tall. Ride like the dickens. Smile. Take a nap.
Make your horse look good. Get back on. Ride the raging beast. Feel good. Take a nap. No, Lindsey. that's not your jacket. Well, it might be your jacket.
Get back on your horse horse. Be careful, now, because he can't believe you are making him work some more and he's just not feeling it. After all, he's been doing this for 4 days now. In a row. And he's been a good boy. If he were a biter, you'd have teeth marks on your side. Ride the ornery cuss- with determination. Laugh with your riding friends. Wish that Kaitlyn would ride with you. That would be the most fun. Gather up more ribbons. Take a nap.
Lindsey, we'll be sure to wash your jacket to get the horse smell out. :)
