Lately, due to her sheer bulk, Xena has adopted a new pose. We call it the Land Seal. She pulls up her paws in such a way that she really does have about the same shape as a baby seal.
Looks pretty happy, doesn't she? Here's the modified Land Seal:
I've got her on a kitty diet, but I'm not seeing much difference. We might be stuck with a permanent Land Seal.

Where'd You Get That, Lil Missionary?
Amazingly enough, Lil Missionary has been seen around town with...an extra leg. Not sure what that's all about.

She's Not In 8th Grade Anymore...
I mentioned last week that we are slowly redecorating Bruce's office at work. The pictures he had of the kids were...let's see...10 years old. Shannon's picture was from 8th grade. So, we decided that Ben and Shannon needed a photo shoot for an updated couple's picture.
Any excuse for a photo shoot! I liked these the best:

A Wedding, Far Away
Today is a special day for Andrew and Chelsea. They are being sealed in the Los Angeles Temple. Wish we could be there, but we're sure it will be a fun day, since Andrew and his dad are both wearing Kennedy tartan kilts to the reception-

Mural-rific!
There is a rodeo stadium by the Ogden River. Artists have painted the back of the stands. This one is my favorite:
I can't look at this one without thinking of Jackie Chan. Thanks, Ben.

Our patrol took us by a public garden that I didn't even know was there. There was some great flower photo ops:

I'm Ready For My Close Up...
How to become a local celebrity in 2 easy steps:
1.) When your Stake sends out the call for volunteers to patrol the flooding Ogden River, and your Bishop husband is desperate to fill the sign-ups, accept.
2.) Be one of only a handful, and the only woman to show up.
Then you can be interviewed by the Channel 4 news.
Volunteers patrol Ogden River Parkway
Yes, that's Brian driving the golf cart! Any moment now I'm expecting a call from a major network or film company to sign a multimillion dollar contract.
You just can't hide this kind of talent.
My book signing tour starts next week.

Avast, Ye Father!
Bruce's Father's Day had a bit of a nautical flair to it this year. He's moved into a new office at work which we are slowly decorating in a sailing theme. Shannon and Ben decided that this would be an appropriate addition to his ocean-going/Disney decor:
I went with a larger piece of wall art.
I think he liked it. :)

Working On My Skills
With the help of my new camera, I'm getting some fairly decent photos for my website. Here are a few non-Shannon-related images from the last show.
But, I think the most perfect picture of the show was this one:
Perfect light, nice color, nice background, motion- it's got it all. In case you're interested, my website is found at barbarastratfordphotography.com.
