Happy Leap Year Day! My dad was born on Leap Year and I remember as kids, teasing him about only being 10 or 11 on his birthday. We thought that was pretty funny.

A New Way To See The USA
Now here's an entertaining map. There are a lot of moose in Alaska, and please, don't mess with Texas! You might have to click on it to see all the details.

S Is For Stratford
Bruce is out of town for a few days, and one of the projects I wanted to get done while he was gone was this wreath:
It's a close copy to one I saw on...Pintrest, and luckily Hobby Lobby had all of their flowers on a half off sale last week. I know it looks a bit Spring-y, but I'm desperate for Winter to be over!

New Packaging
Here's the new packaging for my photos:
Pretty cute, right? I printed my logo on craft paper then folded it origami-style. There's a little pocket to push the paper tab into on the back.
Definitely an upgrade!

Why I Cannot Live In Spain
This is why I cannot live in Spain.
Two Words: Salvidor Dali.
These just don't make sense to my brain. Melting watches, people living inside of other people's heads, earth-like eggs hatching humans, more melting- only cello players this time. What is going on this man's head?
I'm sure Spain is a lovely country to visit, but Mr. Dali makes me want to put on the brakes.

Run, Lil Missionary, Run!
Big happenings on the Lil Missionary front.
Cinderella has marriage plans and Foot Soldier with Battle Axe has chopped poor Prince Charming in half!
I'm sure Cinderella is a very nice girl, but I think Lil Missionary better make a run for it.

Adjust, Adjust, Adjust.
Here are a few more pictures from last Saturday's clinic. These all day long events can be tricky because the light is always changing from pre-dawn, to shadows, to bright sun, to the afternoon light which is my favorite. I've learned to clear all of my settings before I even start to shoot, then adjust, adjust, adjust all day long.
This is our barn kitty, Salty. He's such a nice kitty- always happy to see us, climbing into out lockers, and showing us his food dish. I love orange cats.

Hey! Hey! (You've Obviously Gone Deaf.)
There was a clinic out at the barn last Saturday. I went to take pictures. Shannon and Rocko rode in the first group, at 7:30 in the morning and Rocko kept a pretty close eye on me the whole time, even from across the ring.
He probably couldn't figure out why I wasn't in my usual place which is right in front of his face, doing his bidding. "Scratch my face." "Rub my ears." "You don't happen to have a treat, do you?" "I'm just going to hold your jacket sleeve in my mouth for a while."
It was a little creepy, being stared at like that with that laser-beam intensity.
But don't worry, I made sure he got his fair share of loving and treats, after he and Shannon were done jumping.

A Birthday...
Happy Birthday to my Sis!! (She's the one in the middle, circa 1968.) As the oldest of 4, she learned the art of nurturing as a child and perfected it as the mother of her own 6 kiddos. My sister is: creative, uber-intelligent, a great cook, a super-organizer and totally dedicated to the health and welfare of her family. She's also a grandma, photographer and skilled snowmobile driver. Maybe she wouldn't be as good in a bar fight as my other sister, but if I were on So You Want To Be A Millionaire, she'd be my Lifeline. Have a great birthday, I love you-

All That Jazz
Last Friday was Date Nate at the Jazz Game. They were playing the Oklahoma City Thunder. I didn't even know there was such a team.
Our seats were pretty high- higher than the dirigible could fly: (Word of the day: dirigible. Use it in a sentence!)
Lots happening on the floor before the game started:
Then the Jazz Bear got the crowd going,
And the Jazz had a pre-game huddle, or maybe a prayer.
Then it was tip-off time!
One of the girls in our ward is a Jazz Dancer. She's pretty cute, and when some of the guys in the audience wolf-whistled at the dancers, I wanted to smack them! Nasty men!
Here she is on the jumbo-tron. I couldn't figure out what my camera was seeing with that big screen, all chopped up like that. Shutter speed too fast, maybe?
During one of the breaks there was a team of amazing gymnasts who used mini-trampolines to make spectacular dunks:
The half-time show was...interesting. The Indian guy in the middle danced around to Village People songs with two puppets in front of and behind him.
A bit more basketball. Unfortunately, the Jazz lost, but it was fun a fun date night.
And they left us with this parting Jumbo-Tron thought:
Yep. Do it.
