Xena, my cat, has always been fascinated by this particular dark mark in the pattern of my wood floor. Why? I don't know. She stares at it, pounces on it, and tries to dig it out, but never succeeds. You'd think she'd catch on after nine years that the spot is just a part of the floor. Now that she's getting up there in years, her spunky playtimes aren't happening as often, but she still goes after that spot on the floor.
