On our scenic drive, we passed a sign that led to Bay Horse Ghost Town. How could we pass that up? 4 miles down a dirt road, when we got to the site, it was closed. Not because it was a holiday, but because of the government shutdown. Really? Ridiculous. Don't get me started, that's a topic for another day. At Bay Horse Ghost Town, we took a page from the WW2 veterans and took the town over! Well, not really, but we did jump the fence and wandered around on our own. Rebels? I think so!
In the 1880s and 90s they mined silver at Bay Horse. It's a very picturesque place.
This is the old Wells Fargo building. (Everyone sing the song in your head now!)
Dire warnings were posted about the unsafe metal levels in the town. Another sign advised us to wash our hands before we ate anything.
OHHHHH, the Wells Fargo wagon is a-COMIN' down the street, oh PLEASE let it be for meeeeeeee!
