The Pesidio

Can you tell I'm a history buff? I stopped by The Presidio one afternoon because I knew it would be a great photo op. It's set up on a hill, overlooking the bay, where the first Indians lived and where the Spanish explorers built a fort  and mission. All of those buildings are gone now, except for the crazy looking mounds under the grass of the park. In 1925, this museum was built on the site.

At least it's supposed to be a museum, but it's never been open when we've been there. Still, it's a beautiful place.
